Comments:

        Buying and selling homes involves understanding a client's needs and wants, market knowledge, negotiations, inspections & disclosures, legal & financial issues, and processing a great deal of paperwork. When clients hire me, they not only get an experienced REALTOR®, but also a counselor, a negotiator, a project coordinator, and a business administrator. I am a member of both Nevada County and Placer County Multiple Listing Services (MLS). 

        I began my business experience in 1962 in Southern California as a secretary and, in time, moved into managerial and administrative positions and then had my own business doing bookkeeping/secretarial work as an outside contractor. I learned very quickly how to fine-tune my innate organizational skills, and I discovered that I enjoy paperwork and attention to detail.   In 1986, I decided to change fields and turned to the world of counseling.  While I earned my BA and later my MA, I worked as Administrative Coordinator in a non-profit counseling center. In that capacity, I assisted the Executive Directors with administrative responsibilities as well as trained counselors in the business aspects of counseling.  After I completed my own counseling internship and became a licensed psychotherapist, I worked in private practice doing individual and couple therapy and in a hospital setting doing group therapy.

        In 2000, my husband Tye and I discovered the Sierra Foothills and Lake of the Pines. It was "love at first sight." We found a house, bought it, moved in and started remodeling. I became involved in several bridge groups, the Bear River Garden Club, and the Firebelles (LOP fundraiser women's group). I have served as Stage Manager for the Firebelle's Follies for several years as well as designed the programs for the Follies and for the annual Home Tour.  I also served on the LOP Sports Lounge Renovation Committee and the LOP Long-Range Planning Committee.
